This is a bit late but my exams are over! Haha. I didn't want to come online earlier cos due to some reason, I was a bit sian of coming online. Imagine all the videos to be dl-ed. pukes.
Anyway, I am going to talk about the Music in the Air recording dunno-how-many-umpteen weeks ago BECAUSE the Mediacorp version is TOTALLY off. 15min for a SUPERSTAR?! mind you, I'm talking about an actual superstar, not those who joined the 'superstar' competition. Bleah. Those aren't superstars. No one knows who they are. Haha. I'm so bad but it's the truth.
So to the benefit of Ali and other non-fc pple who read this, here's the ACTUAL version of what happened...
We waited for HOURS after the sk event at vivocity (where I wore a red tie just because the theme was urban RED). It was raining and the ever nice auntie drove past us (not her, but her driver) in the rain, and actually drew the curtains apart to look at gj, kelvin and me huddling under an umbrella!!!! #$&*$%$#
That's besides the point. Anyway, we waited for hours (I think it was!) for the recording to start. We were originally seated behind the cameras and we were totally contented with that cos it meant we would be able to stand and get high and forget about our 'image'. However, the producers decided that there were too few hc guys so we were tasked to sit on the floor. We could have reached out and touched auntie but being the nice fans, we didn't.
She wore the same 宣传衣 as the taiwan autograph sessions so queen was like asking if she washed her clothes. then she scold us say 没礼貌! as usual...... sigh.. we aren't rude pple LOR. haha. anyway, she sang gugi gugi (the fuller version! not like the CUT one tt mediacorp showed), ni guang (ALSO the full one!) and wo huai nian de. So anyway, gugi gugi the pple ng-ed like 3 times because the door couldn't work. bleahs... but she kept looking at us maybe cos she wanted to see us embarrass ourselves dancing gugi gugi. Haha.
When we decided to let her sing one song properly instead of disturbing her, she thought we were singing too softly and asked us to sing louder. Being the super accommodating fans, we reverted to fans mode (was previously in the sing-properly-and-softly mode) for the next verse. And then, she just burst out laughing at the difference in sound level and quality of singing during the verse. FINE LOR. It became our fault that she missed the words. This part is NOT shown in the mediacorp version because they edited it away, leaving the final part of her laugh which resulted in a lack in continuity!! As usual, mediacorp also cut away parts.
Wo huai nian de. Pretty much the same except for the lack of coverage of the pple at the top. Mediacorp still showed the part where she laughed (which sounded like a zao xia if you didn't know better), and the part where she looked at us, 'making sure' that we sang the CORRECT lyrics as her (she sang wrongly la. haha).
Mediacorp also cut the teaching of the dance till pieces!! Queen machiam go there to be a mic-stand and dance a short part nia. Suddenly appear from no where, and suddenly disappear. Haha. Auntie was the one who said fans also know how to dance and tt's how queen miraculously appeared. The entire yzultd group also managed to do a disappearing act and re-appearance act during ni guang. Wa... We were actually on the floor and the next shot showing the audience, we were replaced by the hc pple on the floor. Then the next shot with auntie, we mysteriously appeared again. We are magicians I tell you. Haha.
Now, for the spoiler. The reason why we could disappear halfway was because we left when auntie left. So shots that were taken AFTER auntie left didn't have us. The editor probably didn't realise that and so used shots from after auntie left and slotted it in during the song. THERE. I'm glad we didn't stay for the entire recording or things would get ugly. haha. I think we would have simply walked off when the 4 'superstars' were singing a medley of her songs. ARGH. horrible. And one was my fav song!
Okies, that's the true story behind the Music in the Air auntie segment. Haha. Basically a lot more interaction with us, more 'logic' behind things, more *ahem* hiccups during the songs (which we really loved but probably not emi).
