My 2nd post today! Haha.. Yesterday was a very hectic day so I didn't have time to log on at all. It all started last week, baking cookies, making chocolates and brewing chrysanthemum tea for her. Ok, I admit, I didn't bake the cookies. Haha. So many people touching one small dough. Me, being so STRONG, will only disintegrate the dough into pieces if I touch it. That's beside the point. The point is, 3 baking sessions later, we managed to produce 3 boxes of chocolates, 2 boxes of vanilla cookies, 1 box of passion bars and 1 1.5l bottle of chrysanthemum tea.
Due to some unforeseen circumstances which I have no intention to elaborate on, I only got the car at 12pm yesterday. Fish, pw, amanda and chairmeh met earlier at vivo to buy the styrofoam box and other stuff to wrap the gifts. Contrary to what chairmeh believes, I did NOT ram the kerb at the bus stop when stopping to pick them up. It was just a mere scratch. Haha... But the combined weight of the 4 of them was enough to slow the car down a LOT. After some near accidents (muahaha), we reached ps house safely only to realise that the others haven't reach. Excuse me??? We were supposed to meet at 1pm and we were already late but that's because of the car. So where the hell are all of you? Only eileen was there and luckily she started on the video for her. So while waiting nearly 2 hrs for them, we packed the chocs and cookies, rushed out the video, getting into a mad frenzy at the end. But all those didn't matter. We managed to produce the goods on time.
While the 7 of us packed into my car, ccc went over to the other side cos there really wasn't any more space. After more near misses, we reached her house safely and that's when the devils were awakened. We were already VERY GEK that we forgot the chrysanthemum tea because of the mad rush. Now, I have no problem with one person going up to her house to press the doorbell. Afterall, the chocs will melt if left out there too long. But what's with saying one person going up and then going up together? Not that that person knows what we've been doing, what was in what box. Did you join us in the baking process? Sure. Once. Did you do much? Sure. You helped. Did you understand the many failures we had to go through to get to the final product? I'm not sure. What's with joining the two of them when it has already been settled that the two of them will go up to the house? Seriously. I do not understand your logic.
It was barely enough for me to bear already but it was the last straw when we were asked to go up to the car when some refused to do what they preached. Our car was so bloody far away (because we didn't want to scare her) and you didn't get into yours when it was just beside?! Then went up to join the other 2 and pretend to act like you know everything when giving her parents the gifts? Luckily chairmeh also couldn't take it le and just went up to explain what the parents had to do like watching the video (yes, for your information, there WAS a video), and freezing the chocolates (yes, the chocolates have to be put inside the fridge. The styrofoam box and the foam wasn't there to be meant as decoration?!?!). Argh. Just typing this out makes my blood boil. Look, I really bear no qualms about monitoress going up. She is our monitoress so she should go up. But someone who knows what's going on should be the one accompanying her RIGHT? Or at least someone who has been to more sessions to go. PS was the one who thought of the idea, arranged the meetings, provided her house and kitchen. PS was the one who 'perfected' the cookies. Chairmeh was the one who made the chocolates and passion bars. The rest were there through out. So where's their credit? You reap what you do.
I think it was good that I had to return the car so we could all calm down before the christmas exchange. From billy bombers where I had a super full meal, we trooped to esplanade, stopping to write our wishes on the ball. We all wished for world peace, I wrote no wars but some just didn't understand our wish not to begin a war. Fine, since you want a war, you shall get it. Thanks to AMANDA and pw and chairmeh for managing to bluff me and the 'ROXY' underwear. haha. Also thanks to them for having to carry the heavy weights the entire day. Muahah. I really didn't think you'll get it. I thought a shirt or sth nia. Haha. And chairmeh! Sorry I didn't get you boxers! Haha. I didn't think you'll want it. Muahahaha.. I guess the exchange was quite a success, except for the poor lighting. Well, it felt like a campfire didn't you think? And it felt good being at the roof top, shouting at people, enjoying the breeze. I can stay there the whole night. Haha.
After having some ice-cream at macs (yes, cheapo), we wanted to go home already but pw said since we were going to take a cab home, might as well go pub first. So ok lor.. we proceeded to hunt for a pub at boat quay. But all the pubs were full and poor us landed up at coffee bean instead. HAHA. so anti-climax la!! And we talked and crapped, while I received constant updates on the man utd match from queen. MUAHAH. 3-0 to man utd! yahooo! Then at around 1+am, near 2am, we finally went home but I was too tired to come online to blog (even after drinking coffee!!!!). Haha. Ok, I know, this last part is very boring so I shall stop here. Hehe.
Sometimes, some 'superficial-ness' is necessary to maintain calm in the presence of others.
